RI Weekend Weather Wrap – Sat/Sun, Jan 9/10, 2021
by Jack Donnelly, meteorologist
About as ho-hum a weekend as you can get in early January.
Saturday 01/09/21:
High pressure to our north encourages a bit of a north-northwesterly breeze and a few fair weather clouds and some high cirrus over the top to breeze through during the afternoon. High temperature in the mid 30’s after morning lows in the mid 20’s.
Sunday 01/10/21:

Another section of the high pressure ridge takes over during the day and draws in some warmer air, allowing for a slightly higher afternoon temperature around 40 with less wind, after a morning low in the mid to upper 20’s.
