RI Weather Today – Tues, Oct. 20, 2020
by Jack Donnelly, meteorologist
A cold front approaches from the northwest as a near coastal boundary develops and drives some low level moisture into the area, generating morning mist that will stick around until just after sunrise. A few afternoon showers can be expected ahead of the cold front and through the low cloud cover that will be developing as the fronts sandwich together. Morning lows in the upper 40’s lift to the mid 60’s with a light southerly breeze. Best chance for rain between the hours of 1 and 5pm. Moisture remains in place overnight, so we’ll see some fog developing by morning, dense in places.
