Your RI Weather, Today – Thurs, March 11, 2021
by Jack Donnelly, meteorologist
High pressure, our great friend, backs off a little bit, but in a good way…further out to sea so warmth is driven our way on southwesterly winds gusting to 25 mph. After morning lows in the upper 30’s, we will enjoy afternoon high temperatures in the low to mid 60’s, close to a full 20 degrees higher than normal. All we have to do is endure some morning cloud cover as a weak mid-level trough of low pressure slides through, breaking up in the afternoon once the trough has passed.
