Your RI Weather Today, Aug. 31, 2021 – John Donnelly
by John Donnelly, meteorologist
Tuesday 8/31/21:
Cold front passes quietly in the night, with some cloud cover left behind in the mid levels gradually thinning through the day, but not clearing out. Dew points will be dropping as well, so we’ll feel the drying taking place, another break in the late summer muggies. Remnants of Ida will stream in overhead later in the evening as a prelude to the rain likely to affect us Wednesday-Thursday.
Morning lows bottom out around 70 again, and afternoon highs in the mid 80’s with a wind generally from the west-northwest.
