Your RI Weather Today – June 8, 2021
by Jack Donnelly, meteorologist
Another hot, and even more humid day on tap, dew points rising to the low 70’s which, by most measures, is quite disgusting. Morning lows around 70 rise to nearly and I’m sure even topping 90 in spots with a southwesterly breeze before cloud cover increases with an upper disturbance approaching from the west. This could generate some elevated convection later in the evening and overnight hours. With the daytime heating we could see an afternoon shower/tstm in the area as well, mainly inland away from coastal and bayside areas.
