Your RI Weather, Today – July 2, 2021
by John Donnelly, meteorologist
Light rain will continue into the early morning hours and move southeast with the cold front, as more showers move in north of the warm frontal section of the system over the northeastern US during the afternoon. Being in the cool sector north of the fronts finally will be relief from the nearly unbearable heat, afternoon highs reaching only in the upper 60’s followed by evening lows in the low 60’s with a light northeasterly breeze.
