Police Recruitment Open House at South Kingstown Police Dept.
The South Kingstown Police Department is holding a Police Recruitment Open House on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the South Kingstown Police Department, 1790 Kingstown Road, South Kingstown.
The event is part of the Department’s ongoing recruitment efforts for its January 2027 Police Academy and is intended for individuals interested in learning more about a rewarding career in law enforcement.
Attendees will have the opportunity to meet with South Kingstown police officers and supervisors, tour the police facility, view department equipment and patrol vehicles, and learn about the hiring process, academy training, career opportunities, and the Department’s specialized assignments.
Officers will be available throughout the evening to answer questions in an informal and welcoming setting.
“We’re looking for individuals who are committed to serving others and making a positive impact in their community,” said Chief Matthew C. Moynihan. “This open house gives prospective applicants the opportunity to meet our officers, learn about the profession firsthand, and see what makes the South Kingstown Police Department such a rewarding place to build a career.”
The Recruitment Open House offers an opportunity to learn more about becoming a South Kingstown Police Officer whether at the beginning of a career, considering a career change or exploring opportunities in public service. .
The public is encouraged to attend and to share this opportunity with friends, family members, or anyone interested in pursuing a career in law enforcement.
