RI Weather Today, Wednesday 12/4/19:
By Jack Donnelly, meteorologist
A small area of low pressure will cruise by south of the mainland, clipping the coastal islands during the afternoon. Some of the light rain could spread northward into the area, but it’s not a good bet. Just generally partly cloudy for us with a morning low in the upper 20’s and afternoon highs in the lower 40’s. Winds will have died down also, less than 10 mph out of the west in most parts of the state.
We should catch a break for the next few days, nothing menacing on the immediate horizon.
