RI Weather Today, Wednesday 12/11/19

The Summer fun is over, and at least we got about half a day’s worth of abnormal warmth…..back to reality.
Light rain overnight transitioning to a wintry mix and ending as all snow for a couple of hours, just in time for the morning commute, so expect slick roadways and sidewalks that will be buried under anywhere from 1 to 2 inches of snow, with the last flakes ending around 10am. Not the end of the world, but enough to aggravate all of the morning drive time, so plan accordingly.
Our high for the day will occur at midnight, with a reading around 50 descending rapidly to an evening low in the low 30’s with northwesterly breezes helping usher in the cool air behind the cold frontal passage. The dense cloud cover will break up, and we’ll be left with a day or so of uneventful weather.
