RI Weather Today, Monday 12/2/19
By Jack Donnelly, meteorologist
A rain/snow mix will give way to mostly rain through the day and then changing back to light snow later in the evening as the center of low pressure moves east and cooler air is dragged into the area. Temperatures will have risen through the night to the upper 30’s and will hover there through Monday afternoon, teasing the 40 mark for a while before the cooler air moves in. We’re looking at a mix to begin around 4 pm and a full changeover between 6 and 7pm as low temperatures fall to the low 30’s upper 20’s with north-northeasterly winds continue in the 20’s and gusting towards 30 mph. Light snow continues into Tuesday, but he intensity will be light, so only another inch or two accumulation is expected.
