For Friday, September 4, 2026 – Rhode Island should enjoy a much-improved day with morning clouds and fog giving way to mostly sunny skies. Providence-area highs will reach about 83–85°F, with somewhat cooler conditions near the coast. Rain chances are low, although an isolated shower cannot be completely ruled out.
Morning begins partly cloudy with possible patchy fog and temperatures around 64–68°F. Clouds should gradually thin, allowing mostly sunny skies by midmorning. Winds will be light from the north or northwest.
Afternoon looks mostly sunny, warm and considerably less humid, with Providence temperatures climbing to about 84–85°F. Light winds and little rain risk should make it very pleasant for outdoor plans.
