Rhode Island Weather for October 17, 2025 – a “B-” Day
On this crisp mid-October Friday across Rhode Island, from Providence to the coastal shores, anticipate a cool, breezy autumn day with building clouds and a touch of chill in the air, following the tail end of a recent Nor’easter that cleared out earlier in the week.
In the morning, from around 6 a.m. to noon, expect mostly clear to partly cloudy skies as the sun rises, with temperatures starting brisk at about 44°F and warming only to the upper 40s°F by midday; north winds at 10-15 mph, gusting to 25 mph, will make it feel even cooler, around 35-40°F with wind chill.
The afternoon will see clouds thickening overhead, pushing temps to a high near 54°F, though those persistent north winds will keep real-feel temperatures in the mid-40s°F; humidity around 50-60% adds a fresh, invigorating bite, with still no notable rain risk.
As evening unfolds from 6 p.m. to midnight, skies stay mostly cloudy with temperatures dropping steadily to the low 40s°F, winds easing slightly to 8-12 mph, and overnight lows dipping toward 38°F under a dry forecast.
All in all, a refreshingly rain-free day, but chilly and some wind gusts.
It’s a “B-” day!
