Back-to-School in RI: Providence Rotary donates supplies to Harry Kizirian Elementary School

The Rotary Club of Providence has donated more than 30 boxes filled with grade-appropriate supplies to every classroom in the city’s Harry Kizirian Elementary School.
The annual donation at the start of school is part of the club’s George W. Babcock Literacy Initiative, a decade-long partnership with the Kizirian school.
“Without materials ranging from pencils to computer headsets, it’s difficult to teach students literacy or anything else,” said Mary Brewster, chair of the donation and delivery. “Early grade literacy is a major philanthropy target of Rotary International and our Rotary Club of Providence.”
Founded in 1911, the Rotary Club of Providence is one of the area’s oldest and largest service organizations. www.ProvidenceRorary.org
