Providence Art Club – Members’ Miniatures show and sale

The Providence Art Club has opened a special exhibition focused on small and affordable artworks in March. Members’ Miniatures, which will run March 8 – March 25, will include over 70 original artworks by Exhibiting Artist Members of one of the nation’s oldest arts organizations. The pieces in the show will all be 10” x 10” or less. All the works on view will be available for sale, will many items available at less than $200. This exhibition will be on view in the Club’s Dodge House Gallery, and will be accompanied by other exhibitions highlighting the work of local artists Eveline Luppi, Richard Kattman, and Susan Hardy in the Club’s Maxwell Mays and Mary Castelnovo Galleries. 

This is the first time the Club has hosted a Members’ Miniatures exhibition in this format. All of the Club’s Artist Members were invited to take part and to share a recently created work in a small format. Works in the show will include paintings, works on paper, works of glass, woodworking, jewelry, and more. All the artworks exhibited at the Art Club are original. There is no sales tax on visual art in Rhode Island.

The galleries of the Providence Art Club are always free and open to the public. Current gallery hours are 12-4pm on weekdays and any other time by appointment.

Visitors must wear masks and the Club is observing state limits on capacity. The gallery staff are happy to facilitate private and socially-distanced viewings of exhibitions and a virtual exhibition will accompany these exhibitions and will be available at the Art Club’s website www.providenceartclub.org.
