Notice: Providence College active shooter training TODAY, May 24, 8am to 2pm
TODAY, Wednesday, May 24th, the Providence College Office of Public Safety will conduct a full-scale, active shooter training exercise in conjunction with the Providence Police Department.
This exercise will take place on the PC campus beginning at 8am and running to approximately 2pm.
During this time, neighbors in the surrounding community may hear loud noises and/or may notice Providence police and other public safety agencies responding to the PC campus.
Signs have been placed around campus to remind people of the training exercise.
People are asked to avoid the area, if at all possible.
It is the college’s objective in this exercise to develop plans and processes that will make the campus and the community a safer place.
