Get your Holiday(s) on! – Sounds of the Season Concert TODAY at Cathedral
In honor of the150th Anniversary celebration of the Diocese of Providence, a Sounds of the Season Concert will be held TODAY in the Cathedral of Saints Peter and Paul, Providence at 3pm. This special concert has been scheduled in place of the 2021 Vienna Boys Choir concert, which has been postponed to December 2022.
The Gregorian Concert Choir and Festival Orchestra will be conducted by Rev. Msgr. Anthony Mancini and Mr. Philip L. Farone, organist. They will perform a concert entitled “The Sounds of the Season” featuring the music of Advent and Christmas.
This is a ticketed concert event to benefit Bishop Tobin’s “Keep the Heat On” Challenge, now in its 17th year. Keep the Heat On is a program funded by the Catholic Charity Appeal of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Providence and generous individuals.
Sounds of the Season Concert will feature the music of Advent and Christmas with the Gregorian Concert Choir and Orchestra, conducted by Rev. Msgr. Anthony Mancini and Mr. Philip L. Farone, organist.
This special concert is a part of the celebration of the diocese’s 150th Anniversary and will benefit Bishop Tobin’s ‘Keep the Heat On’ Challenge. For advance tickets or additional information, please contact the Cathedral Office at 401-331-2434. All proceeds from the concert will help struggling families stay warm this winter.
Tickets are $10.00 and will also be available at the door the afternoon of the concert.
