Business Beat: Roberts, Carroll, Feldstein & Peirce adds attorneys

The law office of Roberts, Carroll, Feldstein & Peirce, Inc. (RCFP) announces two attorneys have joined the firm.

Philip R. Primeau joins RCFP as an attorney in the firm’s commercial lending and business/corporate law practice groups. He focuses on negotiating, structuring, diligencing and documenting term, revolving and construction loans collateralized by real estate and business assets. Other areas of secured lending expertise include interest rate swaps and London Interbank Offered Rate to Bloomberg Short-Term Bank Yield Index/Secured Overnight Financing Rate transitions.

Mr. Primeau also deals with a range of business and corporate matters from commercial zoning and land use to the resolution of mechanics’ liens, and offers insight into questions of privacy and confidentiality as a certified information privacy professional.

Mr. Primeau graduated summa cum laude in 2017 from Providence College where he earned a bachelor of arts degree in theology. In 2021, he earned his juris doctorate degree summa cum laude from the Roger Williams University School of Law (Bristol). He served as executive notes & comments editor of Roger Williams University Law Review, and as a judicial intern with the United States District Court for the District of Rhode Island and the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit. He was subsequently admitted to the Rhode Island Bar (2021) and Massachusetts Bar (2022).

Mr. Primeau serves on the Board of Directors of the Chesterton Academy of Our Lady of Hope, a newly established independent Catholic high school. He resides in Warwick, R.I.

Carleigh B. Romano has joined RCFP as an attorney in the practice areas of commercial lending, business and corporate transactional matters. She assists financial institutions in drafting loan agreements, promissory notes, mortgages, security agreements, and more. Corporate work ranges from agency operations to business transactions with international entities on complex deals.

Prior to joining RCFP, Ms. Romano worked within the in-house legal department for a local corporation, gaining experience and background in admiralty and maritime law such as the Jones Act, customs restrictions, and shipping operations as well as environmental law and renewable energy research.

Ms. Romano is a 2021 graduate of Roger Williams University School of Law (Bristol) where she earned a juris doctorate degree. She is a 2018 graduate of University of Miami where she completed her bachelor of arts degree in political science. She was admitted to the Rhode Island Bar in 2022. She is a resident of Newport, R.I.
