ART! How Artists Inspire One Another – Artist Talk, Exhibit, at Bristol Art Museum
Image, top:Â Work of Nancy Gaucher-Thomas
Confluence Artist Talk will take place on Sunday, December 7, at 2 PM. How artists inspire one another will be the topic of exhibiting artists at the Bristol Art Museum.
Join the exhibiting artists for an engaging conversation about influence, and discovery. They will discuss how a single visual prompt—the exploration of black—opened new paths of interpretation, leading to unexpected resonances and contrasts within their work.
Participating artists are Sandra Kunhardt Basil, Dwo Wen Chen, Nancy Gaucher-Thomas, Mimo Gordon Riley, and Eileen McCarney Muldoon – whose work practices span painting, photography, ceramics, and mosaic.
You’ll hear how:
A watercolorist pushes beyond tradition to reveal inner meaning
A photographer finds the “decisive moment†through emotion, not timing
A painter builds worlds without sketches—only instinct and color
A mosaic artist turns stone, glass, and gold into meditative storytelling
A ceramic artist embraces experimentation to make functional beautyExpect lively conversation, surprising insights, and a richer understanding of the exhibition.

What would you like to ask the artists?
What does a productive studio day look like for you?
What do you do when you feel stuck creatively?
What’s your favorite tool in the studio right now?
The Bristol Art Museum is located at 10 Wardwell St in Bristol. Regular hours are Thursday – Sunday 1-4:00pm
