Annual Plant Sale Saturday at Warwick’s Westbay Farm

The Westbay Farm, run by Steve Stycos, will hold its annual plant sale Saturday, May 28 from 10 AM to 1 PM at the farm: 1351 Centerville Road, Warwick, RI 02886

They have a wide variety of tomatoes, plus cucumbers, eggplants, and other vegetable starts for sale. They also have a selection of perennial and annual flowers. The sale is a major fundraiser for the farm operation, which supplies fresh produce to several food pantries throughout the local area.

They only farm a couple of acres of the land, but the farm, which is owned by the City of Warwick, has 65 acres. Stycos will be available for farm tours and there will be a baby goat and its mother on hand for petting.

Buy some vegetable starts or flowers to support their cause and take a stroll around the farm.

About Westbay Farm:

The farm provides fresh produce to the Westbay Marketplace food pantry, expanding the nutritious choices for our clients in Warwick, West Warwick, and East Greenwich. Farm produce is also available to the public at our summer Farm Stands.

Westbay Farm is located on the former Barton dairy farm. The City of Warwick owns the land and leases it to Westbay Community Action. Financial support is provided by a Community Services Block Grant and through the City of Warwick’s Contributive Support program.
