Rhode Island Weather for May 31, 2026
Rhode Island rebounds nicely on Sunday after Saturday’s chilly, wet feel, with a warmer and brighter day overall.
Morning: Cool to start, with temperatures in the upper 40s to low 50s, then gradually warming under intervals of clouds and sun.
Afternoon: Much milder, with highs around 70–72°F inland and a bit cooler near the coast; expect a mix of sun and clouds, with a passing shower or two possible.
Evening: Partly to mostly cloudy and comfortable, with temperatures easing back through the 60s into the low 50s overnight.
Overall, Sunday earns a B+ — a much better outdoor day, with only a small deduction for the chance of an afternoon shower.
