Rhode Island Weather for March 23, 2026
Morning: Quite chilly with temperatures starting in the low to mid 30s°F, overcast skies, and gusty north or northwest winds around 10-15 mph (with higher gusts possible). There’s a notable chance of a wintry mix—light snow, sleet, or rain showers—especially early, which could leave surfaces slippery; layer up heavily with insulated, waterproof gear, scarves, and gloves, and allow extra time for commuting as visibility and traction may be reduced.
If you are driving to Boston or Worcester areas, be aware that the rain/snow line goes right through that area.
Afternoon: Highs peak only in the upper 30s to low 40s°F (roughly 39-43°F), with persistent cloudy or mostly cloudy conditions and lingering scattered showers, flurries, or a brief mix. Winds stay breezy (gusts up to 15-20 mph at times), pushing wind chills down into the 20s-30s°F, making it feel raw and uncomfortable outdoors without protection.
Evening: Quick drop back into the upper 20s to low 30s°F, with any precipitation tapering off but skies remaining mostly cloudy to partly cloudy later. Winds ease slightly but still noticeable, and any lingering moisture could refreeze on untreated surfaces as temps fall.Overall, it’s a classic raw March Monday in Rhode Island—cold, damp/wet, and windy with limited warmth or sun—better suited for indoor plans than outdoor ones.
It’s a D+ Day!
