RI Weather Today, Friday 1/31/20:
By Jack Donnelly, meteorologist
We’ll be back to the familiar pattern of Winter ‘20, cool mornings, lots of sun and warm afternoons, above normal high temperatures in the 40’s. No escape from the chilly morning lows however, readings expected to fall to the low 20’s and dipping into the upper teens in places as sinking air shreds the cloud cover allowing the low level air to radiate heat spaceward.
We’ll be watching what was once thought to develop into a decent storm system before it lost its mojo over the last several model runs, should only be a minor event for the weekend. Stay tuned for details tomorrow.
In the meantime, enjoy this nice day and close out January in style!
