Your RI Weekend Weather Wrap – Nov. 6/7, 2021 – John Donnelly
by John Donnelly, meteorologist
Saturday 11/6/21:
High pressure rules once again, stable air keeping cloud development to a minimum, no chance for precipitation, and dry air in place. Morning lows in the low 30’s with frost in the valleys, followed by afternoon highs in the low 50’s with a generally calm southerly breeze.
Sunday 11/7/21:

Similar to Saturday, with afternoon highs in the low 50’s from morning lows in the low 30’s. The only difference will be a light northerly breeze and some more cloud cover, but of the fair weather type. No significant weather expected.

John Donnelly was born in Hialeah, Florida and moved back to Rhode Island and settled in Johnston, where he grew up until graduating from Lyndon State College in 1998 with a Bachelor of Science in Meteorology. As a child John always wanted to know how air moved, and he ran towards not away from thunder and lighting and various other ominous weather phenomena. He returned in 2001 to the old family neighborhood of Elmhurst where the Mccabe’s, Donnelly’s, Walker’s and Callan’s have been since after the Civil War.
A meteorologist, John also is an avid golfer, runner, reader, hack guitarist, and walker. If you see a weatherman walking in a blue Jim Cantore weather jacket carrying an umbrella, look out!
