RI Weekend Weather Wrap – July 17/18, 2021 – Jack Donnelly
by Jack Donnelly, meteorologist
Saturday 7/17/21:
A frontal boundary developing to our west will attempt an approach during the day, but most likely hanging back until the overnight hours where the best chance of rain will be. We could still see some light showers develop along what’s left of yesterday’s energy. Some coastal mist again likely early. Morning low’s in the low 70’s warming to the low 80’s under partly cloudy skies and a light southeasterly breeze.
Sunday 7/18/21:

Our cold front flattens out a bit and slows down, keeping us in the clouds and drizzle, with pockets of light rain mixed in through the morning. Skies should begin to break up for the afternoon, but still a chance for light rain to affect the day’s plan. Misty morning lows in the upper 60’s with afternoon highs only reaching the upper 70’s with a light southwesterly breeze.
