Your Weekend Weather Wrap – May 8/9, 2021
by Jack Donnelly, meteorologist
Saturday:
Low pressure out to sea and a weak trough of low pressure to our west will combine to provide cloud cover through the day, and the trough will generate some afternoon showers beginning around 4-5 pm and lasting til early evening. Morning lows will start in the mid 40’s and warm to afternoon highs in the upper 50’s with a light southeasterly breeze.
Sunday:
Saturday’s weather makers are over and done with, and we’ll start out nicely enough, sunshine lasting until early afternoon as cloud cover advances ahead of a warm front developing over the Appalachians. We’ll get some showers out of this system as well beginning by evening and lasting through the night. Morning lows in the mid 40’s and afternoon highs in the mid 60’s with a breeze generally out of the southwest gusting towards 30 mph.
