Your RI Weekend Weather Wrap – June 19/20, 2021
by Jack Donnelly, meteorologist
Saturday 6/19/21:
As a cold front approaches, we’ll have the chance for some afternoon showers, but nothing very organized or intense. More low level moisture will be drawn into the area, so expect more humidity with dew points in the mid 60’s and temps rise from morning lows in the mid to upper 60’s to afternoon highs in the mid to upper 80’s with broken cloud cover and a southwesterly breeze.
Father’s Day 6/20/21:

Our cold front passes through the night, and dew points will have fallen to the upper 50’s, so a better feel to the air despite highs still in the upper 80’s, rising from morning lows in the upper 60’s. Northwesterly winds shifts to southwesterly under the influence of the afternoon sea breeze effect, so humidity will rise again in the evening.
Happy Father’s Day!
