Your RI Weather Today – Fri, Jan. 1, 2021
by Jack Donnelly, meteorologist
A mostly cloudy day rings in the New Year as a midwestern storm winds up and has us in it’s sights for the weekend.
We’ll start with a chilly morning low in the upper 20’s and a glimpse of the sun for a little while, before cloud cover thickens from above, and caps afternoon highs to around 40 with a light and variable breeze. We shouldn’t see any precip until after 9pm, and it will be rain for us, as warm air is dragged into the system from the south.
Happy New Year everyone! Hasta la bye-bye 2020!
