Your RI Weather Today – April 15, 2021

A Great Lake low pressure system and associated goodies tracks slowly east over the next couple of days and unzips some wetness over the area beginning Thursday afternoon and lasting through Friday. A cloudy start with a low temperature in the low 40’s and relatively calm winds. Some southeasterly gusts pick up at about the same time the first drops hit the ground between 11am-1pm. Rain starts out light and picks up just a bit through the afternoon, and we may even see a mid-April Thunderstorm as the low pressure triple point (Where the cold front, warm front and occluded front meet…) passes overhead in the evening, so some Springtime atmospheric ambience may be on tap. Incidentally, afternoon highs will top out near 50.
