“Vaccines are a Grand Slam” Incentive for the first 1,000 – TODAY
Governor McKee, Rhode Island’s Anchorman Gene Valicenti, and Taco Comfort Solutions Owner John Hazen White, Jr. to Kick Off RI Lottery Scratch Ticket Vaccine Incentive
Governor Dan McKee launches a new vaccine incentive promotion to encourage Rhode Island adults who have not received a COVID-19 vaccination to get their shot today, Tuesday, November 2nd from 11am to 2pm. McKee will be joined by Gene Valicenti, of NBC10 and WPRO Radio, and John Hazen White, Jr., Executive Chairman and owner of Taco Comfort Solutions.
Vaccines are a Grand Slam is open to any Rhode Islander 18 or older who gets vaccinated at a pop-up clinic at the Dunkin’ Donuts Center on Tuesday, November 2 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. They will receive a $1 Rhode Island Lottery Baseball scratch ticket. Tickets will be first come, first served; there are 1,000 tickets available.
The official launch will take place at noon at the Dunkin’ Donuts Center with the Governor, Valicenti and White.
This was Valicenti’s impromptu idea one day on the radio – and something came of it. His idea was deeper than today’s program, but it’s all hands on deck for a good cause with this partnership between the state Gene and White’s philanthropic donation.
