URI sets 12 on-campus vaccination clinics for staff, faculty, students

URI has planned 12 vaccination clinics in August and September for students, faculty and staff needing to be vaccinated, as the university joins other Rhode Island colleges and universities in making Rhode Island the first state to require vaccinations for students to be back on campus.

“URI will require proof of vaccination, or an approved exemption, to live on campus,” said URI spokesperson Dave Lavallee on a local radio interview: “I’d be surprised if we weren’t doing all we can to deal with those requests while being as responsible as we can for the public good – the entire URI community”.

The first clinic will be offering the Pfizer vaccine. Other clinics will offer the Johnson & Johnson and Moderna vaccines. See schedule, below. The first clinic is set for Wednesday, August 4 at 9:00am to 1:00pm at the Memorial Union Ballroom, at 50 Lower College Road – all clinics will be held at this facility.

The COVID-19 vaccine clinic is available on campus to all faculty, staff and students.

First and second dose is available at all clinics. For more info: https://events.uri.edu/event/covid-19_vaccine_clinic_pfizer#.YPCj-W4pCqQ
