Time to think – Spring?
Yes! Actually, if you didn’t plant your early spring bulbs already, it maybe be too late for expecting those yellow daffodils and crocuses. But it’s not too late to participate in the annual URI Master Gardener Free Seed Program in coordination with Ocean State Job Lot.
Burpee® seed packets are available for the cost of shipping and handling to individuals, schools and other nonprofit organizations in New England, Pennsylvania, New York and New Jersey through the generosity of Ocean State Job Lot, which donates still viable 2019 seeds for the 2020 growing season to URI Cooperative Extension, annually.
Orders are filled by URI Master Gardener volunteers. Order should be sent in no later than January 13th. Allow four weeks for delivery if you are ordering by mail.

Learn more about the Free Seed Program by going here: https://web.uri.edu/mastergardener/freeseeds/ . You can also download a Rhode Island planting chart.
