The Preserve Celebrates the Holidays with Tree Lighting, Festive Brunches, Visits from Santa, Office Parties

Free November 27 tree lighting will include fireworks and donation drives, followed by three December brunches with wagon rides.

The Preserve Sporting Club & Resort in Richmond will celebrate the holiday season with its sixth annual tree lighting on Friday, November 27, followed by Sunday brunches and wagon rides in December — including a special brunch with Santa.

The festivities begin Friday, November 27, from 5 to 5:30 p.m., at The Preserve’s Pavilion, 1 Preserve Boulevard, Richmond. The free event is open to the public, club members and hotel guests.

Visitors can enjoy seasonal entertainment, hot chocolate and holiday treats, along with a fireworks display. Santa Claus will make a special entrance aboard a firetruck.

Guests are encouraged to bring an unwrapped gift or boxed toy for the Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots drive, along with new socks in assorted sizes for the Johnny Cake Center of Westerly and Crossroads Rhode Island.

The clubhouse and hotel will be closed to the public during the event, except for guests with existing hotel reservations that evening.

Sunday brunches and wagon rides

The celebration continues on Sundays, December 6, 13 and 20, with seasonal brunches featuring locally inspired ingredients. Guests can also enjoy wagon rides through the resort’s grounds, weather permitting.

December 6 and 20 — Holiday Brunch & Wagon Rides: Seatings are available every half hour from 8 to 11:30 a.m. Brunch is $30 per person, with children under 4 dining free.

December 13 — Brunch with Santa & Wagon Rides: From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., guests can enjoy brunch and a special visit from Santa Claus. Pricing is $79 per adult and $30 per child.

Alcoholic beverages are not included in brunch pricing.

This holiday season, The Preserve Sporting Club & Resort invites local small businesses and offices to gather together for its annual Small Business Christmas Party. Designed to provide independent teams with a premiere holiday party experience, the full-service evening features fine dining, festive cheer, and live entertainment.

Mix and mingle with your fellow small teams for an extraordinary festive gathering.

Organizations can register by the individual or for tables of 10.
