Save More This Season with Rhode Island Energy Efficiency Programs – RI Energy
by Rhode Island Energy
Like many people, you are probably looking for a smarter way to stay comfortable while cutting back on energy usage and taking control of your utility bills – especially now after the cold winter here in Rhode Island.
Rhode Island Energy can be a partner to help you make your home more energy efficient.
One of the most effective upgrades you can make is improving your home’s insulation and air sealing. Proper insulation in your attic, walls, and floors reduces drafts, keeps warm air where it belongs, and can make a dramatic difference in your comfort and monthly bill. Rhode Island Energy has programs designed to help offset the cost of upgrades, with incentives that can include up to 100% off insulation (up to $10,000) and no cost air sealing of leaks.
The first step is scheduling a no cost Home Energy Assessment. An Energy Specialist will visit your home, walk through your living spaces, and share practical energy saving tips tailored to your needs. The assessment can also highlight opportunities to improve comfort and efficiency year-round, helping your home stay warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer while lowering energy costs.
Visit RIEnergy.com/HEA or call 1-888-633-7947 to schedule your no cost Home Energy Assessment.
If you’re ready to improve your heating and cooling system, you may qualify for rebates from Rhode Island Energy on qualifying equipment. If you’re considering a heat pump, for example, you may be eligible for rebates of up to $1,500 per ton when replacing electric baseboard heating with a high-efficiency heat pump. Standard rebates of up to $625 per ton are available for customers switching to central or mini-split electric heat pump systems, helping make modern energy efficient technology more affordable.
If you heat your home with natural gas, you may be eligible for rebates from Rhode Island Energy up to $950 for combination boiler water heater units, up to $775 for qualifying boilers, and up to $525 for high-efficiency furnaces, helping reduce both upfront costs and long-term energy use.
You may qualify for rebates from Rhode Island Energy on ENERGY STAR® appliances, including a $50 rebate on clothes dryers, a $40 rebate for room air cleaners, and a $40 rebate on room air conditioners.
If you have an older refrigerator, freezer, dehumidifier, or room air conditioner running in your home, you can recycle it through Rhode Island Energy’s Appliance Recycling Program and receive a rebate of up to $50.
You can also shop the Rhode Island Energy Marketplace for exclusive discounts on energy saving products for your home.
