RI Weekend Weather Wrap: Sat/Sun, April 11 & 12, 2020
By Jack Donnelly, meteorologist
Low pressure moves out to the northeast and leaves behind a fairly pleasant and cloud-free day, although a touch on the cool side, with still strong northwesterly winds through the day. Chilly morning lows in the upper 30’s will be followed with afternoon highs in the low 50’s.
Sunday 4/12/20:

Low pressure systems developing over the upper mid-west and the southern Mississippi valley gradually move eastward, with the first wave of cloud cover rolling in just after sunrise and sticking around through the day, however, no rain is expected until well after midnight into Monday morning. Morning lows will be quite chilly, readings in the mid 30’s warming into the mid 50’s, still a few degrees below normal. Southwesterly winds start to kick up in the afternoon as well in advance of the developing low pressure.
