RI Weather Today, Wednesday 11/27/19
By Jack Donnelly, meteorologist
A midwestern occluded low pressure system continues developing and will begin moving into the area during the morning with thickening cloud cover and light rain beginning late afternoon.
The systems’ warm front will skirt southern New England to the north, as southeasterly breezes bring slightly more humid air into the area that’ll fuel rain development as the system gets closer. Expect some drizzle and thickening stratus late morning with steadier light rain by early to mid-afternoon, the heaviest rain occurring early evening. Winds will not be too strong, so the rain will thankfully not find its way into forbidden moisture-averse crevices. A morning low in the upper 30’s followed by an afternoon high in the low 50’s would ordinarily be nice, but given the wetness, not so much.
