RI Weather Today – Wed, Sept. 30, 2020
by Jack Donnelly, meteorologist
The passage of a vigorous cold front will bring an end to overnight rain and strong gusty winds out of the south-southwest. Winds will shift to more southwest as dry air quickly moves in and cloud cover evaporates in short order by early afternoon. Winds finally give it a rest and fall below 10 mph shortly after sunrise as high pressure settles in nicely under clear skies.
