RI Weather Today – Wed, Dec. 23, 2020
by Jack Donnelly, meteorologist
High pressure off the south coast keeps the warmer than normal air in place over southern New England, with low relative humidity and clear skies through early afternoon. Clouds then build in advance of a low pressure system that will develop over the Midwest, but the rain will hold off until later in the week. A wet Christsmas, folks.
Morning lows will dip to the upper 20’s and afternoon high will climb to the low 40’s, with light winds shifting from northwesterly to southerly by afternoon.
