RI Weather Today, Tuesday 3/3/20:
By Jack Donnelly, meteorologist
After some light morning rain, we may actually see some veiled midday sunshine before a developing frontal system works through the area and deposits some more light rain later on in the evening and into the overnight hours Wednesday. With persistent southerly flow ahead of the cold front, temperatures should climb into the upper 50’s and threaten the 60 mark, up from mild morning lows in the upper 40’s.
The rain may trigger some tree bud smells as we head further into meteorological Spring.
