RI Weather Today, Tuesday 2/18/20
By Jack Donnelly, meteorologist
A low pressure system developing over the upper mid-west will drag a warm front into the area during the morning that will thicken cloud cover and lift temps from early morning low in the low 30’s up to the low 40’s by midday as light rain begins spreading over the region, light snow well to our northwest in the highlands of central and northern New England. Some gusty winds out of the southeast will add a bit of adventure to the rain, driving it somewhat sideways at times. Temps continue rising through the mid 40’s as rain continues into early evening and through the late Tuesday hours.
