RI Weather Today – Sept. 18, 2020
by Jack Donnelly, meteorologist
A cold front moves through in the night without much fanfare, probability of rain diminishing with each computer model run as the front weakens with time. Cloud cover will thin and scatter through the day, dry air continuing to settle in behind the front. Afternoon highs will be noticeably cooler, in the mid 60’s for the most part, up from morning lows in the upper 50’s with a shifting wind mainly out of the northeast gusting towards 30 mph.
