RI Weather Today – July 20, 2020
by Jack Donnelly, meteorologist
Continued hot and humid conditions through the afternoon until a cold front pushes through and gives us some relief from the humidity. Winds will shift to a drier northwesterly direction in the evening behind the front helping to drop dew points out of the 70’s and into the 60’s. We may see some scattered showers with the frontal passage in the afternoon, but the sea breeze influence will likely squash any significant development. Cumulus cloud cover will provide some welcome shade. Morning low in the mid 70’s rises to the low 90’s.
