RI Weather Today – Fri, Oct. 9 2020
by Jack Donnelly, meteorologist
Air flow still generally out of the northwest shifting slightly to westerly in the afternoon as high pressure to our southwest and low pressure to our northeast funnels cooler air from eastern Canada into New England. Dry conditions make it difficult for cloud formation, so lots of sun with cooler than normal afternoon highs in the low 60’s from chilly morning lows around 40, in the 30’s in some isolated country hollows.
