Rhode Island Weather for June 20, 2024 – John Donnelly
by John Donnelly, meteorologist
Third day makes it official: A heat wave! We’ll get to at least 90, but cloud cover may put a cap on the heat before it gets into the mid 90’s. Another southwesterly breeze gusting to 25 keeps the air moving, so not a terrible hot day, just hot. And we’ll have some boomers in the evening to the north and west of the city triggered by a weak trough enhanced by surface heating draped over central New England.
It’s a “B-” day!
