Rhode Island Weather for January 16, 2026
Morning:
Start the day cool and mostly cloudy, with temperatures near 30–32°F and skies staying gray. There’s a small chance of light snow showers, especially early in the morning, but most of the time it should stay dry.
Afternoon:
The afternoon continues cool and mostly cloudy with highs around the lower 30s. Clouds will dominate and there’ll be a slight chance of snow flurries at times, but no major accumulation is expected for most areas.
Evening:
Into the evening, skies remain mostly cloudy as temperatures fall back toward the upper 20s to low 30s. There may be occasional light snow or flurries overnight, though impacts should be minor.
Cool temperatures and mostly cloudy skies with occasional flurry chances make this a typical winter day — not unpleasant, but limited sunshine, chilly conditions, and a chance of flurries keep the day from grading higher.
It’s a “C+” Day!
