Rhode Island Weather for February 26, 2026
Morning: Cloudy and cold with lingering slush and icy spots from the recent storm cleanup. A few flurries or patchy freezing drizzle are possible early. Temps will be in the high-20s to 30°s with a light northwest wind. Slick
sidewalks and untreated roads; slow commute in spots, especially on side roads where major clean-ups continue.
Afternoon: Mostly cloudy with occasional breaks of sun. Cold but seasonable. Highs in the mid to upper 30s to low 40s, with northwest winds of 5–15 mph. A gradual improvement; melting limited due to cold temperatures.
Evening & Overnight: Partly cloudy and colder. Refreezing likely as temperatures drop into the 20s, teens inland overnight with light winds – black ice will redevelop meaning caution on walkways, stepping out of your house, and in parking lots.
