Rhode Island Weather for February 13, 2024 – John Donnelly
by John Donnelly, meteorologist
Tuesday 2/13/24:
Mid-February winter storm rolls on through, and doesn’t disappoint. We’re expecting 6 to 10 inches statewide, higher amounts in the usual areas, Salty Brine’s “NO SCHOOL IN….FOSTER-GLOUCESTER!!”
A rain and snow mix starts out the day at around 7am, all snow by 9am, and heavy snow from 10am to 2pm, tapering and ending by 5pm. Classic Winter storm, 30 mph gusts whistling through the leafless limbs in heavily treed areas…(PV Pkwy…). High in the morning in the mid to upper 30’s cooling to an evening low in the mid 20’s.
Get the toboggan’s greased up, head for the hills!
It’s a “D” day!
