Pawtucket Hall of Fame 2024 inductees, Person of the Year award announced

The Pawtucket Hall of Fame Committee (PHOF) has announced the 2024 list of Pawtucket Hall of Fame inductees. The public is invited to its annual Pawtucket Hall of Fame Banquet and Induction Ceremony on Friday, November 1, 2024, beginning at 6pm with a reception, and 7pm dinner, catered by Pranzi, at the Pawtucket Armory Arts Center, 172 Exchange Street, Pawtucket. The induction award is given to those individuals whose efforts, in any line of endeavor, have gone “above & beyond” in their community service activities and/or who have been vehicles that shine a positive light upon the city. 

This year’s 2024 Pawtucket Hall of Fame Inductees are:

Robert Andrade (former bank executive and civic-minded volunteer)

Merry Caswell (educational leader)

Pamela Hughes (volunteer community activist)

William D. Mulholland (former public servant and featured Times writer)

Lou Schweichheimer, Jr., deceased, (long-time executive of the Pawtucket Red Sox)

Vivian Marshall, Historical inductee, (film star)

Rep. Gabe Amo, Person of the Year, (Congressman)

This year’s recipient of the traditional “Person of the Year Award”, given to recognize the person the Hall of Fame Committee believes has made an outstanding contribution or achievement during the previous year, will be presented to Rhode Island Congressman Gabe Amo.  “In its 32nd year, we continue to honor some great people who’ve made a big difference in our community,” says PHOF’s Chairperson, Patricia S. Zacks, noting what makes these individuals outstanding is their long-time commitment and dedication and what they’ve given of themselves to make Pawtucket a better community.

Tickets are $95.00 per person (will be $105 per person after October 14) and will be available for purchase in September. Tables of (10) may be purchased to accommodate a group or family and should be purchased early. Tickets can purchased on PHOF’s website, www.pawtuckethalloffame.org, or by mail, addressed to: Pawtucket Hall of Fame Committee, PO Box 3640, Pawtucket.  Checks should be made payable to: Pawtucket Hall of Fame Committee. Tickets will not be sold after October 21 and will not be sold at the door. The event is expected to sell out, as it has in most years.

The Pawtucket Hall of Fame is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization established in 1986 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Pawtucket as a city.  The purpose of the Hall of Fame is to honor the contributions of people whose efforts, in any line of endeavor, have added to the heritage of the City of Pawtucket.
