Rhode Island Senior Games had a 54% increase this year

The Rhode Island Senior Game (RISG) held its 2024 Golf Tournament on Wednesday October 9th at Triggs Memorial Golf Course in Providence, RI. The weather cooperated beautifully, and much fun was had by all.

Athletes from multiple states across all senior age groups combined to produce a 54% increase in participants over the previous highest tally for the event.

Celebrating his 23rd year as RISG Golf Ambassador and Tournament Director, Bob Murphy, assisted by his right-hand man Hal Phillips had the following to say, “I’m so glad everyone had such a good time. Special thanks to Carl on the course and Keith in the kitchen in helping to make this such a terrific tournament. We were told by a TX golfer that our tournament was in the top 1 or 2 of the many states senior games he has attended. That brought a smile to everyone’s face.”
