Out and about in RI: Earth Day and a remembrance at Wingate
As Earth Day was recognized, the spring day at Wingate Residences on Blackstone Boulevard in Providence combined the day with a remembrance.
Wingate residents and staff honored lives lost with the planting of a new tree on the property. A group gathered for the heartfelt tribute to those who they’ve recently lost, and planted a Forsythia.
Rev. Patrick Faulhaber from Central Congregational Church held a blessing of the tree, while Bishop Louis P. Serra from St. Anthony’s Evangelical Church provided a reading and a blessing.
