Out and About in RI: 14th annual Alzheimer’s conference. Caregiving and research.
The 14th Annual Caregiver’s Journey and Research Conference took place on Thursday, April 17th, 2025 at the Crowne Plaza in Warwick, RI with over 325 people in attendance this year, and 45 businesses and organizations that support RI families and professionals who are caring for a person living with Alzheimer’s or another dementia.
The sessions featured medical professionals, Rhode Island researchers, Alzheimer’s Association-funded researchers and medical students offering the very latest groundbreaking dementia science. Session topics include the mechanisms driving Alzheimer’s disease, looking at inflammation as a therapeutic target, an update on retinal biomarkers and advanced cognitive screening tools, the latest in clinical trials and the power of preferred music for people living with dementia and their caregivers.
